Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a membership card or pool key as an RCA member?
No. Rayburn Country Association Membership will now be tracked in the Resort’s computer system. There will be no membership cards or pool keys distributed which are used by some other communities. Using the computer system saves time and money for RCA and allows for the deactivation of membership at any time a member falls out of “good standing” with RCA. See below for more information about activating benefits and how to remain in good standing as an association member.

What are the member benefits?
Members receive access to the pool and discounts at the Resort. Additionally, the Resort hosts periodic members-only events.

Who can access the pool under my RCA Membership?
Membership allows the two (2) adults who are registered with the Resort and up to seven (7) minor children or grandchildren (under the age of 18) at one time to use the pool without paying an additional fee. The intent of this policy is for children who use to the pool to be accompanied by a parent, grand parent, or legal guardian because there are no lifeguards on duty and the adults who bring children to the pool are accepting liability for the children under their supervision. Therefore, the resort is requiring that children’s names and birth years must be added to the member records. If you have more than seven minor children who live with you full time, please speak to the RCA staff about your situation.

How do I activate my membership benefits?
Visit the pro-shop to verify your membership in RCA and activate your RCA membership with the Resort. The resort staff have a book of members in good standing with the association. Only the adults listed as owners or long-term tenants registered with RCA can activate RCA membership. Children’s names and birth years should be added to a member’s record so they may access the pool with the member. Having the names and birth years of the children is required to ensure that the children accompanying the member are related to the member and under the age of 18.

What about children who are not members of my household?
If a member is the grandparent or legal guardian of a child, they may add that that child’s name and birth year to their membership record. The intent is that children who are members of the household are treated the same as biological or adopted children or grandchildren. You can add as many grandchildren as you have to the membership records, but we expect that more than seven will not accompany you to the pool at any one time. If you do have more than seven at once, the additional children can use the pool as guests paying the guest day-use fee.

Can my tenant get access to the amenities?
Either the owner or a long-term tenant who is renting a residence can activate the membership, but not both. To activate membership for a tenant, the owner of the lot must first notify the RCA office in writing that they are transferring their amenities rights to their tenant, provide the tenant’s name, phone number and email address, and provide the dates of the tenant’s lease. A lease of at least six months is considered “long-term.”

What is meant by “good standing”?
Assessments must be paid in a timely manner to remain in good standing with the association. Assessments are due on July 1st each year and late if not received by July 31st. The RCA office will compare its delinquent list to the list of RCA Members who have activated their resort membership benefits and any delinquent RCA members will have their resort membership suspended until they have paid in full or entered a written payment plan with RCA.

Rules violations must be cured in a timely manner to remain in good standing with the association. If you receive a letter about a rules violation or deed restriction violation you will be given a reasonable time to cure the violation. If the violation is not cured in the time frame stated in the letter you receive or if the violation is repeated multiple times, your resort membership may be suspended by the association. Communication is key! If you have special circumstances that you would like the association to consider relative to your ability to bring your lot into compliance with the deed restrictions, please communicate with the RCA office. We always aim to be reasonable, but we can’t know about a special situation unless there is direct communication with the RCA staff.

Can the Resort refuse service to an RCA Members?
The Resort staff and other members and guests of the Resort have a right to an atmosphere that is wholesome and pleasant. Anyone who breaks pool rules, uses profanity, or otherwise significantly impinges on the enjoyment of the amenities by others may be refused access by the resort according to the Resort’s own policies.
